Restaurant Reviews: GF Pizza Houston Style!

When I was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I was lucky enough to be living in Chicago at the time. There were at least three different restaurants offering gluten free pizza, several italian and chinese restaurants, and even a gf cupcakery! While I love Houston, I have to admit that as far as gluten free cuisine goes, we're a little behind the times. That's why I'm so thrilled to see that in three years since I've moved back to Houston things have improved so much and there are now several places to enjoy delicious gluten free pizza!

First up, Ruggles Green. Now this place deserves it's own separate review for its many amazing GF options, but today let's just take a look at their delicious, thin crust, gluten free pizza... yum!

If you're in the mood for a slightly thicker, chewier crust, you may want to try the delicious GF pizza crust at Candelari's on Holcombe. They also have delicious homemade sausage that is GF and makes a great pizza topping! The crust at Candelari's comes from our very own Gluten Free Houston. It's also available for purchase as pizzas from them, but there's something special to me about being able to go out for pizza with my family. They even deliver!

For those of you in the southwest suburbs, why not head over to a Pepperoni's? I have to admit I haven't had a chance to sample their GF pizza yet, but its getting rave reviews and it looks delicious!

Last but not least, my most recent GF pizza discovery is at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. All I can say is wow! I love this stuff. The pizza is on the thin side, but perfectly browned and absolutely delicious. The management was so nice and really excited that we were there to try the pizza. BJ's only downfall is that it's in Willowbrook, Pearland, and Sugarland... but that's only a downfall if you live in the loop like me!

So, tell me, where's your favorite spot for GF pizza?
